Biography: Kane “Insane” Friesen, originally from Edmonton, Alberta Canada, started riding motorcycles when he was 18. After he graduated high school, selling his Ford Mustang for a '98 Kawasaki Zx6R. After doing some wheelies and driving it around the block backwards a few times, he realized that he wanted more than to just have a good time riding and doing tricks in parking lots and on the streets. He quit his day job early in the summer of 2004 and started chasing his dream of riding bikes for a living. Since then, it’s been a rapid climb to the top of the sport and in the process, has become one of the sport’s biggest ambassadors, breaking down barriers for and helping to legitimize the whole sport/industry. The first Kawasaki factory sponsored street stunt rider in North America and one of the only factory sponsored stunter riders in the world. Among many other national competition wins and podiums, he is the 2006 Regional XDL Stunt Riding Champion. He was also the featured rider on Discovery Channel’s hit show “Stunt Junkies,” for the Guinness Book World Record stoppie (also called endo or nose wheelie), radared at 137 mph on the front tire, with an approach speed of over 160mph!!. In addition, for more than three years, he has been the most publicized streetbike freestyle rider in the world, consistently appearing on covers and being featured in national magazines, television shows, DVDs, web sites and advertisements for his many sponsors, including: Monster Energy Kawasaki, Joe Rocket, LP USA, Odyssey Batteries, Pirelli Tires, GPR Stabilizers, and Vortex Racing. Kane now spends most of his year on the road performing at live corporate and public shows & events for his sponsors, inventing new tricks, competing in national contests and shooting advertisements, television programs and anything else required to help push the beautiful sport of freestyle street extreme through his passion and life... riding."
